It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThis is a supervisory, administrative and para-engineering to full engineering work in the management of routine construction, maintenance, repair operations for a moderate to large number and variety of buildings and structures. This position directs, supervise, plan and evaluates the work of subordinates. Work includes making the final technical decision in a wide variety of trades, administering the work order system, directing the preventive maintenance program, requisitioning and purchasing material and supplies. Positions are responsible for inspecting the facility regularly for maintenance needs and safety hazards, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $70,627.00 - $137,724.00Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
