SLU, which also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, is recognized for world-class academics, life-changing research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to faith and service.JOB SUMMARYThe Clinical Education Coordinator supports the educational operations of the Clinical Skills Center (CSC) and Simulation Center at Saint Louis University School of Medicine (SLU SOM). This position reports to the CSC Program Director and the Director of the Simulation and Clinical Skills Center. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating student activities and assessments within the CSC and Simulation Center and providing on-site operational support for educational sessions. This position also supports the standardized patient (SP) program, and ensures that staff members are properly enrolled in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification courses.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESStudent CoordinationCoordinates standardized patients (SPs), space, equipment, and related resources to support educational sessions in alignment with curricular requirementsCoordinates student assignments and rotations to support instructional deliveryCollaborates with faculty and program staff to maintain accurate records of student attendance and assessment dataSchedules make-up sessions and remediation activities for students who miss required activitiesMaintains a professional, supportive, and confidential environment for studentsEducational Program SupportSupports the delivery of educational sessions, including preparation and reset of instructional spacesOperates the CSC learning management system for scheduling, video capture, live observation, and student assessmentMonitors educational sessions and addresses logistical issues in real timeAssists in inventory control and equipment managementStandardized Patient (SP) Program SupportSchedules SPs for educational activities and communicate session details, expectations, and remindersProcesses time records, payments, and invoices related to SP-based educationCoordinates meals for SPs and other participantsProvides operational support to SPs during educational sessions in collaboration with CSC staffACLS/BLS/PALS Certification CoordinationServes as the primary point of contact for ACLS/BLS/PALS course enrollmentResponds to logistical questions from coordinators and learnersCollaborates with Simulation Center staff and relevant stakeholders to maintain accurate learner records for billing and reportingOtherPerforms other duties, projects, and program support activities as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESStrong organizational skillsStrong collaboration and teamwork skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsDetail-orientedProficiency with computers and database managementAbility to learn and use multiple media and software platformsAbility to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholdersAbility to maintain confidentialityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's degreeFamiliarity with standardized patient programsPrior administrative, program coordination, or operations experience in an educational or healthcare settingPrior experience in higher education, standardized patient-based education, or simulation-based educationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSN/AFunctionSOM EducationScheduled Weekly Hours:40Saint Louis University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
