Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role manages nursing staff, coordinates patient care, and implements policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager works closely with physicians, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals. RESPONSIBILITIESStaff ManagementSupervises and evaluates nursing staff performance.Coordinates staff schedules and assignments.Provides training and development opportunities for staff.Patient Care CoordinationEnsures efficient patient flow and timely care.Addresses patient concerns and resolves issues.Collaborates with healthcare providers to develop care plans.Compliance and Quality AssuranceEnsures adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.Conducts regular audits of clinical documentation.Implements quality improvement initiatives.Administrative DutiesManages patient records and ensures accurate documentation.Oversees billing and coding processes.Maintains inventory of medical supplies and equipment.Budget ManagementManages the department's budget and allocates resources.Tracks and controls expenditures.Prepares financial reportsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)At least 5 year(s) of experience in a clinical setting.Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare AdministrationAt least 7 year(s) of relevant experience in a clinical setting.Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML).Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationPediatric Cardiovascular Life Support (PALS) certificationCertified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)SALARY RANGE$100,500 + depending on qualificationsWORKING ENVIRONMENT/EQUIPMENTStandard office equipmentRepetitive use of a keyboardMay be exposed to such occupational hazards as communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications and disoriented or combative patients, or othersRequired MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisorLetter of interestImportant for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
