Appli­cants are required to submit a request for each position of which they have applied.For general application assistance or if you have questions about a job posting, please contact Human Resources at 479.575.5351.Department:CAPS TrainingDepartment's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The mental health clinician duties include providing individual, couple and group counseling, emergency mental health services; consultation with the University community; outreach presentations, clinical supervision of graduate students; clinical disposition activities; staff meetings; coordination of specific area (e.g. group, outreach, training, embedded, eating disorders, etc.); clinical documentation; obtain and maintain licensure in the state of Arkansas in relevant discipline; and other duties as assigned by the CAPS Director, Senior Associate Director, Associate Director or Assistant Directors. This is a 100% appointed, 10-month position with annual employment dates of August 1 through May 31. The position has routine shift hours, infrequent overtime, or shift rotation.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position holds significant responsibility as a “remote essential” role. In challenging situations such as inclement weather or emergencies, when the Pat Walker Health Center or campus needs to close, our dedicated team of CAPS professionals will be on standby to serve our campus community’s needs through telehealth if deemed appropriate for telehealth services. The decision to continue with telehealth sessions will depend on various factors, including the nature of the mental health concern, client preference, and the availability of resources. Our primary goal is to ensure that the UA community has access to quality mental healthcare even during unexpected closures. To be fully prepared for such events, all staff members must take their UA issued laptops home nightly during the work week and each weekend. This way, they can readily assist with client access and telehealth services if CAPS is unexpectedly closed during the following business day. By functioning cohesively as a team, CAPS staff will ensure that counseling services remain accessible to our UA community with each team member sharing this responsibility equallyQualifications:Minimum Qualifications for Mental Health Clinician I:  Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in social work or counseling from an accredited institution of higher educationEligible to obtain provisional licensure in relevant discipline in the state of Arkansas within 60 days of the start date with the expectation of pursuing independent licensure in a timely manner  Minimum Qualifications for Mental Health Clinician II:  Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in social work or counseling from an accredited institution of higher educationState of Arkansas license for independent practice in social work or counseling (LCSW or LPC)  Preferred Qualifications:  Doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education in social work or counselor educat
