Structures Repair and Modification TechnicianCompany:Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Structures Repair and Modification Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.Position Responsibilities:Assist in assembling craft structures and related components with the aid of the following tools and resources:Jigs and fixtures by drilling, filing, filling, honing, reaming, counter-sinking, dimpling, burring and fastening under general supervisionSet up and use a variety of precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, gauges, protractors, and calipers, etc.Common hand tools such as drills, reamers, deburrers, files, rivet guns, bucking bars, etc.Replace ribs, stiffeners, stringers in skinned assemblies establishing from blueprints with firm callouts, butt, center, chord, station and water lineOperate such equipment as brakes, grinders, band saws, and pressesTasks include but not limited to:Pickup blind hole locations for blank parts from existing structure.  Also able to correct cans, buckles, wrinkles in outer skinsAssist in identifying different types of corrosion, and with minimal supervision clean and treat corrosion, remove damaged areas, fabricate parts to repair damaged area, determine rivet patterns, layouts, etc.Assist in clearly documenting maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.Assist with ordering parts, pan stock, tools, materials, and equipment as required to perform assigned duties​General duties to include but not limited to:Wear required safety equipment while performing daily tasksCommunicate via basic computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office as needed to complete essential job requirementsPerform other duties as directed by management for the benefit of the company, program, or employeesAssist in performing close tolerance assembly operations such as: shimming, fitting, trimming, and aligning where variances may occur considerably from one assembly to another as with fairings and the mating of major structural assembliesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Experience in performing aircraft structural and mechanical workExperience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating proceduresExperience working with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work 1st and/or 2nd shiftPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):FAA Certification in Airframe and/or Power PlantConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment processShift: This position is 1st and/or 2nd shiftDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Total Rewards & Pay Transparency:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.  Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $48,450 - $65,550Language Requirements:Not ApplicableEducation:Not ApplicableRelocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.Export Control Requirement:This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
