The instructor will be assigned to teach Online / Tri-Modal courses.Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to:Instructional planning and deliveryTeaching and facilitating student learningCurriculum planning and developmentAssessment of student performanceClassroom managementMaintenance of professional skills and credentialsParticipation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committeesThe candidate must be able to work cooperatively with faculty and staff, demonstrate knowledge of and experience in assessing student learning outcomes, participate in department meetings and college-wide committees, and maintain ongoing professional development activitiesSalary Range:$52,584.00 - $73,684.00Minimum QualificationsEducation RequirementMaster's degree in accounting or a master's degree in any field with a minimum of 16 graduate semester credits (24 graduate quarter credits) in accounting orBachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a CPA or CMA certificate.Occupational Experience RequirementTwo full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in accounting.Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Preferred Qualification  Prior teaching experience and familiarity with different learning styles with the experience/ability to incorporate the latest technology into teaching methods, including online and distance learning strategies like D2L.Willingness to teach in-person and multimodal courses.Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Karen, Karenni, Somali, Pohnpeian, French, Nuer, Anuak, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.Other RequirementsNeeds to be completed within six semesters of starting your full-time position.Teaching and Learning Competency Requirementcourse construction (credit course)*teaching/instructional methods (credit course)*student outcomes assessment/evaluation (credit course)*philosophy of community and technical college education (credit or non-credit course)**Faculty shall have a degree in education or three years of successful full-time (or equivalent) teaching experience prior to being hired, or shall be required to complete coursework in the above content areas (or their equivalent) prior to being granted unlimited status.These courses shall be waived for individuals who at the time of hire have: a degree in education, or have documented evidence of successful completion of equivalent coursework in the specified teaching and learning content areas, or have three years of successful, full-time (or equivalent) secondary, postsecondary, industry, or trade apprenticeship teaching experience in the field for which they are being hired.
