Join SolarWinds and grow with us!Role OverviewWe are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to become a valuable member of our Platform Engineering team at SolarWinds. This position necessitates a solid foundation in software engineering principles, a proactive learning approach, and the capability to deliver well-defined work with guidance within a collaborative setting. The team is tasked with developing and enhancing essential software capabilities that underpin reliable, scalable, and secure product development across SolarWinds. Responsibilities- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software components and services.- Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code under the mentorship of senior engineers.- Engage in code reviews and incorporate feedback to elevate code quality and consistency.- Develop and maintain unit tests and automated tests to ensure reliable releases.- Diagnose defects and assist in resolving product and production issues.- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to fulfill sprint commitments. Qualifications- 0–2 years of software engineering experience through full-time employment, internships, or academic projects.- A strong foundation in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Go, Python, or similar.- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.- Familiarity with version control, debugging, testing practices, and modern development workflows.- Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and software development lifecycle concepts.- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and effectively apply feedback.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.SolarWinds is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
