Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other automation toolsBuild and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with KubernetesDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable AWS deploymentsAutomate repetitive tasks using Python and Shell scriptingMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliabilityCollaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release processesImplement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure and applicationsManage and optimize AWS resources for cost and performance efficiencyEnsure proper logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms are in place
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/ExperienceHands-on experience with Git (version control)Strong expertise in Jenkins (CI/CD pipeline development)Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioningStrong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.)Experience in Python and Shell scriptingSolid understanding of Linux/Unix systemsKnowledge of networking concepts and cloud security best practicesExperience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)Familiarity with microservices architectureExperience in production support and incident managementUnderstanding of DevSecOps practices
Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
