Lead Business Analyst

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Lead Business Analyst. IBD & GCM Technology, a part of the wider IST Division, focuses on supporting the complex and evolving needs of two of the firm's most prestigious and market leading businesses, Investment Banking & Global Capital Markets. Our group prides itself on the strength and diversity of our technologists that enable us to deliver front to back solutions to our business.In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.This is a Business Analyst position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying needs, and establishing requirements to enhance efficiency and productivity through a blend of business acumen and analytical skills.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, continuously evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world. A good candidate will have a track record of strong product and project management and experience working within an Agile framework.What you’ll do in the role:Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes and systems.Oversee the business analysis team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Develop and implement business analysis policies, procedures, and standards.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate business analysis into the project lifecycle.Manage the planning and execution of business analysis activities for multiple projects.Provide leadership and mentorship to business analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Evaluate and recommend new tools and methodologies for business analysis.Ensure timely and accurate reporting of business analysis metrics and outcomes.Drive initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.Work with business partners to identify opportunities and define goals for various initiativesPlay a key role in articulating detailed requirements and acceptance criteriaCoordinate across business, user experience and technology teams to drive deliveryPrepare detailed specifications and supporting documents to guide development teams as needed, including assisting in designing and reviewing test casesMeet deadlines and communicate delays in a timely mannerCollaborate with other teams within the organization on project work and to further best practicesWhat you’ll bring to the role:6+ years of experience in a product management, business analyst, product owner, or user experience roleExperience in an Agile setting writing user stories, acceptance criteria, epics and organizing the backlog according to the overall roadmapStrong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders to understand the business and gather requirementsHighly detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage and execute simultaneous projects and tasksSelf-motivated, with a high level of initiativeAbility to work efficiently and independentlyProficiency in MS Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Skills DesiredExperience at an investment bank or other leading financial services firmsComfort working with ambiguity, managing and resolving complex issuesUser Experience design background including designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for web, mobile, and other digital platforms.Experience in developing wireframes, prototypes (low-fidelity and high-fidelity), and user flows to visualize and test design concepts.Experience with SQL and tools such as PowerBI to query data for analysis and visualization.Experience leveraging AI tools to create documentation, business requirement JIRA stories, test cases, etc.#LI-LM1WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
