This role is responsible for developing, writing, and editing flagship content such as the annual report, monthly newsletters, dean's speeches and scripts, strategic messaging, thought leadership pieces, donor and stakeholder communications, web and campaign copy and other materials that require advanced copywriting, editorial judgment and brand discipline. The position ensures all written communications reflect the college's ambition, credibility and distinctiveness, while translating complex academic, business, research and donor-centered stories into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing or a related fieldSeven or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in writing, editorial strategy, executive communications, journalism or integrated content developmentDemonstrated experience writing for senior executives or institutional leaders, with an ability to capture another person's voiceDemonstrated exceptional long-form and short-form writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skillsStrong command of grammar, AP style or similar editorial standards and content development best practicesPreferred Qualifications:Experience in higher education, business school communications, journalism, philanthropy or mission-driven organizationsPortfolio demonstrating annual reports, executive speeches, thought leadership, magazine features or donor-facing storytellingExperience building editorial calendars and managing complex, multi-stakeholder approval workflowsFamiliarity with copyright considerations, permissions, sourcing and proper content attributionKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information with discretion and sound judgmentAdditional Information:Salary Information:Commensurate with education and experienceRequired Documents to Apply:Cover Letter/Letter of Application, List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), ResumeOptional Documents:Proof of Veteran StatusRecruitment Contact Information:Blake WoolseyChief Strategy & Communications OfficerSam M.
