Maintain a working knowledge of database structure and database development. Develop and implement custom applications within the office using a variety of development languages. Analyze, troubleshoot, and work with stakeholders to identify and resolve aid program related issues. Demonstrate a working knowledge of student ISIRs and COD file imports. Exhibit a working knowledge of University of Arkansas student information system (Workday) and be able to assist other users in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Recommends changes or updates in programming, documentation, and training to address system deficiencies and user needs. Perform other duties as assigned.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in computer science, computer applications, mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher educationAt least two years of experience in computer support and data analysisORCompletion of technical training in computer science, data processing, or a related field acquired from a vocational, military, or industrial settingAt least four years of experience in computer support and data analysisPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with the Financial Aid process as it relates to communication between institution, examples: COD, NSLDS, ADHE (SAMS), ScholarNet, Scholarship AmericaFamiliarity with multiple operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, and UnixExperience working with student information systems, examples: PeopleSoft, Slate, HobsonsExperience with the University of Arkansas systems, specifically Workday Student, Human Capital Management, or Finance , and applicable UA softwareExperience working with enterprise software such as Microsoft Office suite of applicationsFamiliarity with coding of the following languages: Python, Perl, SQLKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of the limitations and use of mainframe and microcomputer hardware and softwareAbility to analyze computer system problems or errors and devise corrective measuresAbility to write moderately complex applications to fulfill requirements or select appropriate off-the-shelf software and modify to suit the agency or institutionAbility to code, test, and debug computer programs and write program documentationAbility to critically analyze policies/procedures and develop streamlined solutionsAbility to read and interpret technical literature and evaluate product acceptability and/or qualityAdditional Information:Salary Information:$61,735.00Required
