As a Senior or Staff Engineer on the Dry Etch R&D team, you will play a key role in developing and scaling plasma‑based etch processes that enable next‑generation packaging technologies. This opportunity offers the chance to work on innovative technology within a team-oriented environment that values your individual contributions!Key ResponsibilitiesCollateral Acquisition & Access ControlCoordinate secure download of foundry collateral (e.g., TSMC PDKs, IP bundles) from approved channelsTrack delivery schedules and completeness of collateral versus planEnforce NDA and access-control policies for restricted foundry dataPDK Installation & Environment SetupInstall and configure PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries in standardized environmentsAlign toolchain versions with foundry recommendationsMaintain directory structures and environment setup for multi-node supportValidation & Testing (Core Responsibility)Complete PDK validation pipeline:Unit testing (DRC/LVS/ERC/PERC, models, libraries)1. Smoke testing of end-to-end CAD flows Regression testing versus prior PDK releasesConfirm that all validation checkpoints are satisfied before transferring to establish teamsRelease ManagementPackage and distribute validated PDK environments to form teamsMaintain version control across collateral, PDK, and EDA toolchainsPublish release notes and supported flow documentationDocumentation & TraceabilityDetail PDK versions per project/tapeoutRecord collateral dependencies and configurationsEnsure reproducibility of build environments and signoff flowsAutomation & Continuous ImprovementDevelop automation for validation and regression testing flowsImprove efficiency and reduce manual setup timeCollaboration Across Multiple FunctionsWork closely with: Foundry partners for issue resolution Custom and/or digital build flowsExperience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens) Linux environments and scripting (Python, Tcl, shell)Familiarity with tapeout flows and regression validationPreferred QualificationsExperience with foundry interfaces (TSMC, IFS, etc.)Background in CAD automation and infrastructureExperience with large-scale PDK release managementKnowledge of version control and environment management systemsKey ProficienciesStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and process difficultyAbility to lead multiple releases and timelinesEffective cross-team communicationSuccess MetricsFirst-pass success rate of PDK releasesTime from collateral receipt to validated releaseRegression stability versus previous versionsReduction in manual install/test effort via automationJoin us and be a member of a crew that's making history in the semiconductor industry!
