Your mechanical expertise will be key as you work with:Gas turbines and high-speed reciprocating engines—mastering the mechanics behind high-performance energy systemsMedium voltage generators and power distribution—hands-on work with complex mechanical equipmentEnvironmental controls and distributed control systems—integrating mechanical skills with cutting-edge technologyYou’ll actively support construction initiatives, diagnose and repair equipment, and use your mechanical insight to solve technical challenges, all while developing into a respected leader within your team.What You’ll Do In this mechanically-focused role, you will be pivotal in ensuring Williams’ systems operate at peak performance. Your tasks will include:Keeping our equipment running safely and smoothly by performing a range of hands-on tasks, from reading drawings to inspecting gear and supporting pipeline operations—all while meeting technical standards and regulationsCollaborating with your teammates to analyze data and find solutions to technical or operational challenges, making a real impact every dayFollowing our company policies and using the right procedures to ensure efficient and safe operationsLearning and applying the requirements for safe, effective facility operations, while protecting our team, community, environment, and assetsStaying familiar with your site, equipment, and permits to help maintain compliance and support smooth operationsMaintaining accurate records of process operations, completing reports and logs, and assisting with preventive maintenance to ensure top equipment performanceHelping with other projects and responsibilities as neededWhat You’ll BringRequired for All Levels:High School Diploma or GEDValid State Driver’s License and clean driving recordWillingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locationsAbility to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPEStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsCommitment to safety and operational excellencePreferred Qualifications by Level:Technician I: 6+ months of mechanical or technical experience, or internship with Associate degreeTechnician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil & gasTechnician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil & gasTechnician Sr: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; Associate degree preferredTech Skills That Set You ApartProficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applicationsAbility to embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiencyWork Environment & ScheduleWork in a variety of conditions, including extreme temperatures, loud areas, and confined spacesLift up to 50 lbs (team lift for heavier loads)Perform physical tasks like standing, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting for extended periodsWork at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts, with proper PPEUse hand tools regularlyBe available for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call dutyExpect 10–12 hour shifts with potential overtimeTravel between locations with occasional overnight stays#LI-RS1#LI-RS1Why Choose Williams?We are committed to providing our employees with competitive compensation and benefits as part of your Total Rewards package to help protect your current and future physical, emotional, and financial health.
