And you can too — so bring your energy to ours. As an Accounting Analyst I / II – Regulatory Reporting, you will support core accounting and financial reporting activities by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to inform business decisions. In this role, you will also help identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and technology, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across the function. Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities / ExpectationsPerform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysisSupport regulated financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end processesPrepare and maintain schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholdersProvide clear documentation and explanations to support internal and external auditsAnalyze large data sets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement and automationCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial informationParticipate in projects and contribute to team executionServe as a resource to team members with less experience (Accounting Analyst II)Perform other duties as assigned Education / Years of ExperienceRequired: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with a strong accounting focusAccounting Analyst I: Minimum one (1) year of accounting experience in the energy industry OR successful completion of an accounting internshipAccounting Analyst II: Minimum two (2) years of accounting experience in the energy industryPreferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Other RequirementsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skillsEffective communication and collaboration across teamsStrong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safetyProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work outside normal business hours during peak periods (e.g., quarter-end) Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with U.S. GAAPExperience with regulatory accounting and financial reporting (FERC preferred)Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Workiva, and Power BI #LI-AB1About Houston (Williams Tower Location):Our Houston office is located in the Williams Tower, just steps from the Houston Galleria on Post Oak Boulevard, an area with more than 700 retailers, fine dining and hotels within two square miles.
