As we continue to scale, risk management plays a critical role in enabling sustainable growth, supporting better decision-making, and helping the business move forward with confidence.  We’re now looking for a Senior Director of Risk to build and lead Trustpilot’s Risk function. While a foundational framework exists today, this is an opportunity to significantly mature and modernise how risk is identified, assessed, and embedded across the organisation. This role is about creating a pragmatic, scalable approach to risk that enables the business - not slows it down.  Reporting directly to the Chief Trust Officer, you’ll work closely with executive leadership and Board Committees to ensure risk and control considerations are understood, prioritised, and actionable across the business. This is a highly strategic individual contributor role with significant visibility and influence across Trustpilot. You’ll combine hands-on execution with long-term thinking — building scalable frameworks, driving alignment, and embedding effective risk practices across the organisation. Over time, the role will also evolve to help shape a broader compliance capability as the business continues to scale globally.  What you’ll be doing: Build and lead the Risk function: Establish and evolve a fit-for-purpose Risk operating model, including governance structures, clear ownership, and effective decision-making frameworks across the organisation. Mature enterprise risk management: Continue developing Trustpilot’s enterprise risk framework, ensuring risks are consistently identified, assessed, tracked, and aligned to the company’s risk appetite. Partner with the business on strategic decisions: Embed practical, commercially-minded risk guidance into product development, operational initiatives, and broader business decision-making. Strengthen governance and Board reporting: Provide executive leadership and Board Committees with clear, decision-useful reporting, meaningful insights, and effective escalation processes. Drive regulatory and control readiness: Oversee regulatory change management and material risk incidents, ensuring lessons learned are translated into stronger controls and improved business practices. Build scalable and efficient processes: Develop frameworks and processes that scale effectively with the business, leveraging automation, data, and technology where appropriate to avoid unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy.
