Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors portfolio of factories to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer. Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more. RTX- Diné Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.What You Will Do Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key performance indicatorsCalculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraintsApply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goalsInfluence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growthSupport new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration effortsImprove factory safety and work cell ergonomicsWhat You Will LearnIndustrial Engineering tools and methods used to build factory models to advance continuous improvement and future-state forecastingAspects of the Defense Industry and how to meet challenging mission requirements while also meeting cost, quality, and schedule targetsThe CORE Operating System and the CORE Common Methods used to align priorities and meet key business objectivesExecutive Presence and how to support leadership in making data driven decisions that result in measurable improvementsProject planning and project management techniques to deliver results and meet critical milestones supporting key business objectivesHow to influence and lead others working with high-performing cross functional teams and frontline operators and specialists who assemble, test, and deliver our products everydayStrategic planning and how to develop business proposals that generate returns on invested capital within the factoriesRaytheon’s Leadership Values and BehaviorsQualifications You Must Have Masters degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) must be obtained by the start dateExperience in the application of industrial engineering tools and methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process OptimizationExperience with CAD tools/softwareU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contracts.*Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
