Job Description SummaryThe Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring audit and compliance readiness in Lynn Engine Assembly through first article inspections, work instruction updates, quality management system reviews, process capability studies, and other quality tasks. You will also lead coordination between the production and quality teams to support engine delivery to our customers while helping drive a zero defect strategy.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwnership of key quality responsibilities such as first article inspections (FAI), quality management system (QMS) updates, process capability studies, and planning compliance for an engine assembly building. Ensure that products perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing process are capable and qualified.Basic understanding of key business drivers and how their projects/priorities contribute to the broader team and business level goals/objectives.Uses some level of judgement and has ability to propose different solutions but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple sources within the broader team to arrive at decisions or consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.Individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills. Provides informal guidance to new team members, learns from other members, and fosters collaboration across the broader team.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing / production).Desired Characteristics1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment, inclusive of internships and co-ops.Experience with quality systems, investigations, FAIs, nonconformances, process controls, or continuous improvementAbility to read/interpret technical information such as drawings or process documentationComfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environmentHumble: respectful, receptive to feedback, agile, eager to learnTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructivelyFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, meets deadlinesLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborativeProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerStrong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, provide updates, and execute.The base pay range for this position is 92,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
