And together, we must leverage the strength of our team to collaborate globally to optimize connections and share best practices across the Tech Centers.Role Overview:(IAM Assurance Technical)We are seeking an experienced, energetic, forward-thinking Identity and Access Management (IAM) professional to join our IAM Assurance team as a Senior Manager. Reporting to the IAM team, you will collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders across a global enterprise to ensure secure, compliant, and effective use of IAM services. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a track record of enabling secure collaboration and productivity through IAM best practices and tooling.  The role requires a technically strong individual who is resourceful and highly self-motivated.What will you do in this role: Partner with consumers of IAM services and support teams to drive compliant adoption, resolve issues, and streamline onboarding to IAM products.Collaborate with IAM Engineering, Operations, and Access & Administration teams on escalations, service improvements, and cross-functional support.Advise technical and business stakeholders on secure IAM practices, policy alignment, and risk mitigation.Support evaluation and adoption of IAM solutions—especially Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM)—to enhance compliance, automate manual processes, and strengthen security controls.Lead or contribute to onboarding activities for IAM products; ensure onboarding procedures are aligned with engineering releases and capabilities.Identify and advocate for automation opportunities and process improvements within IAM onboarding workflows.Facilitate onboarding to PAM and IGA services, as well as other IAM-related technologies.Support IAM and ITRMS projects and initiatives, providing onboarding oversight and subject-matter expertise as needed.Provide technical expertise support and guidance to IAM Onboarding team as needed based on customer requirements, IAM engineering team inputs and escalated issues. Education:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Required Skills:8+ years of experience working in a medium-large enterprise Identity and Access Management organizationAdvanced knowledge of modern authentications technologies and concepts such as SAML, Federation, SSO, OpenID Connect, OAuth, Privilege Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance (IGA) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).7+ years of experience with Delinea Secret Server or comparable enterprise PAM solutions.   7+ years of experience with SailPoint Identity IQ or comparable enterprise Identity Governance/Identity Management solutions. 7+ years of direct engagement with IT and business stakeholders to socialize IAM policies, standards, processes, and procedures.Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.Proven effectiveness in a matrixed, global environment working with company staff, contractors, and vendors.Experience leading teams is a plus — demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver results.Preferred Skills:Experience working in large healthcare environments.Familiarity with identity-related NIST standards (e.g., NIST 800-63-3).Understanding of cloud identity architectures and platforms (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID, AWS, Salesforce).Awareness of IAM related policies and regulatory requirementsContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to challenge and refine processes.Working knowledge of ITIL frameworkRelevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, vendor/tool-specific IAM certifications)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.Demonstrated alignment of technical skills to IAM products, with emphasis on PAM and IGA. Who we areWe are known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, New Jersey, USA in the United States and Canada and everywhere else.
