We’re seeking someone to join our Singapore Commodities Trade Support (TSG) team and will be responsible for the trade capturing, processing of trade lifecycle events, reconciling, monitoring and resolving of trade exceptions for Commodities business. The role will also involve resolving / escalating trade related queries and issues, in conjunction with the regional trade support team. The individual will engage directly with the sales and trading desks based in Singapore.The individual will report to the team manager based in Singapore and will work very closely with the TSG teams in the region.In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processesSince 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role: Timely and accurate trade capture and checkoutResolve trade discrepancies with counterparties by liaising with trading, sales and relevant teamsMonitor and process trade lifecycle eventsControl, reconcile, and resolve the trade processing exceptionsWork with technology for implementation of new processing platforms and system enhancementsWork with Legal/Compliance, IT and project teams to analyze new regulatory reform requirements and deploy new processesDrive operational readiness for new business initiativesReview desk processes and participate in operational projects to drive efficiency and risk mitigationProviding back up support and coverage for other functional teams in Singapore Asia Branch OperationsWhat you'll bring to the role: At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this roleExperience with global investment bank or Commodities trading house, with Commodities trade support experienceGood Strong understanding of Commodities products, business and operational knowledgeStrong record of dealing with sales / traders and clientsAbility to perform in the fast paced environment on trading floorEffective problem solving skillsGood communication and organizational skills, able to interact and work effectively with counterparts across functions and geographical locationsHigh personal commitment and integrityDetail oriented with strong risk awareness and able to perform operational responsibilities to a consistently high standardWhat you can expect from Morgan Stanley We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
