Become a part of our caring community We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) to drive the architecture, delivery, and quality of critical enterprise applications supporting CenterWell Pharmacy, MyHumana, and Omni-channel platforms. This role will lead strategic initiatives for XIAM deliverables and new team formations, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who thrives in complex environments, influences executive-level decisions, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business outcomes.Location: Louisville, KY or Dallas, TX (Work At Home with occasional office visits)Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & ArchitectureDefine and drive architecture decisions across front-end, back-end, APIs, and data layersSelect and approve frameworks, languages, and platforms (cloud, microservices, integrations)Lead system modernization, refactoring, and retirement decisionsEnsure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and cost-efficientDelivery Leadership & ExecutionLead strategic initiatives and deliverables across CenterWell Pharmacy, MyHumana, and Omni-channel platformsPrioritize features, technical debt, and platform investments across teamsBalance business urgency with long-term platform healthEnsure predictable delivery and high-quality outcomesQuality, Security & Risk ManagementDefine software quality standards, testing practices, and performance benchmarksLead debugging, defect resolution, and root-cause analysisEnsure compliance with security, regulatory, and data protection requirementsApprove production readiness and release decisionsProduction Support & Incident ResponseLead response to high-severity incidents and system escalationsDrive decisions on rollback, hotfix, or remediation approachesEnsure rapid resolution while maintaining long-term system stabilityStrategic Influence & Stakeholder EngagementAdvise senior leadership (Directors, VPs) on engineering strategy and risk mitigationTranslate business requirements into technical execution plansPartner with Product, UX, QA, and Platform teams to align prioritiesInfluence investment decisions in tooling, automation, and observabilityTeam Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead, mentor, and grow engineering teams and technical leadsSupport hiring, onboarding, and succession planningIdentify skill gaps, coach team members, and foster high performanceRequired Technical SkillsStrong experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend and microservices developmentProficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSSHands-on experience with .NET application developmentFull-stack development expertise across UI, APIs, and backend servicesSolid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-based architecturesExperience implementing modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, containerization, etc.)Experience with Python for scripting, backend development, or data processing (Nice to have)Identity & Access Management (IAM)Experience implementing and managing IAM solutions such as ForgeRock and Ping IdentityStrong understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks, including OAuth 2.0Knowledge of identity federation, SSO, and secure access patternsDomain ExperienceExperience working in healthcare, pharmacy, or other regulated industriesFamiliarity with compliance, security, and data privacy requirements in regulated environmentsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering (large-scale enterprise environments)2+ years of technical or project leadership experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsPassion for improving consumer experiences through technologyPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degreeCertifications (preferred):AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals)IAM-related certificationsUse your skills to make an impact  Interview Format:          As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability.
