UI, APIs, and data platformsDefine architectural direction and ensure high standards for code quality, scalability, and maintainabilitySelect frameworks, languages, and platforms across front-end, back-end, APIs, and data layersApprove architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, cloud strategy, and integrations)Identify opportunities to refactor, modernize, or retire legacy systemsDelivery Execution & PrioritizationDrive consistent delivery across multiple engineering teams through:Sprint planning and executionDependency managementRisk mitigationRemoval of technical and organizational blockersPrioritize feature development, platform investments, and technical debt across teamsMake trade-offs on scope, timelines, and resource allocationBalance short-term business needs with long-term platform healthEnsure predictable, high-quality delivery that builds stakeholder confidenceQuality, Security & Risk ManagementDefine and enforce quality standards including testing, code reviews, and performance benchmarksEstablish release readiness criteria and approve production deploymentsGuide security, compliance, and data protection strategiesMitigate risk and ensure system stability, reliability, and regulatory alignmentProduction Support & Incident LeadershipServe as the senior escalation point for critical system issuesDiagnose and resolve complex cross-stack production incidentsLead decisions during incidents (rollback, hotfix, or root-cause remediation)Direct engineering resources during high-severity eventsDrive long-term solutions to reduce incident frequency and improve system resilienceCross-Functional Collaboration & InfluencePartner with Product, UX, QA, Platform teams, Architects, Directors, and VPs to:Shape roadmaps and align prioritiesTranslate business requirements into technical execution plansRefine requirements and reduce ambiguityCoordinate cross-team dependenciesAdvocate for clarity and feasibility in requirements, addressing risks earlyInfluence strategic direction, technical investments, and delivery expectationsCommunicate risks, trade-offs, and system impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholdersOperational Excellence & Investment DecisionsDrive decisions on investment in automation, tooling, observability, and platform improvementsLead initiatives to reduce operational toil and improve developer experienceOptimize engineering processes to increase efficiency and scalabilityTalent Development & Team LeadershipMentor and develop tech leads and senior engineersProvide ongoing lift-and-shift efforts from Cloud 1.0 to Cloud 3.0 infrastructureSupport modernization toward cloud-native architectures Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)8+ years of progressive IT experience, including senior-level development on large-scale systems2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or major technical initiativesProven experience in full stack development (UI, backend services, APIs, data layers)Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns and cloud platformsPassion for improving consumer experiences through technologyRequired Technical SkillsStrong experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend and microservices developmentProficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSSHands-on experience with .NET application developmentFull-stack development expertise across UI, APIs, and backend servicesSolid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-based architecturesExperience implementing modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, containerization, etc.)Experience with Python for scripting, backend development, or data processing (Nice to have)Preferred QualificationsAZ-900 or other cloud certificationExperience with cloud migration and modernization initiativesExposure to large-scale enterprise environments and distributed
