This role is responsible for supporting the accurate preparation, picking, and coordination of specialty medication orders to ensure safe and timely delivery to patients.As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with pharmacists and team members to fulfill prescription orders, maintain workflow efficiency, and uphold quality and compliance standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work effectively in a team-driven setting.Key Responsibilities:Accurately pick, prepare, and process specialty medication orders based on prescription requirementsEnsure correct drug selection, strength, and labeling in accordance with pharmacy standardsPackage and prepare medications for shipment to patientsMaintain inventory, receive stock, and support supply managementCollaborate with pharmacists and team members to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracyAdhere to all safety, compliance, and regulatory guidelinesWork Environment:Columbia, MDSpecialty Mail Order Pharmacy (Backend Operations)Shift: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday–FridayRequired QualificationsActive Maryland Pharmacy Technician licenseBasic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skillsMinimum of six months general work experienceMust be able to lift 50+ lbs.Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to ten hours daily.Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop and walk.Preferred QualificationsNational pharmacy technician certificationPrefer six months work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.Prefer three months of work and computer experience.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAnticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$17.00 - $31.30This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.   Our people fuel our future.
