Equity Swap Operations Analyst-Senior Associate

Who we are looking forAn experienced individual for our Equity Swap Operations team is responsible for day-to-day BAU processing for Equity Swaps in line with the Operating model, internal SLAs and control frameworks.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join SST Markets Operations’ Financing Solutions business. Financing Solutions contains three key business lines – Agency Lending, Secured Financing and Prime Services. Our fast-growing Prime Services group is searching for an Operations Specialist, who would be responsible for driving the day-to-day support of the Equity Swaps product. Prime Services is an alternative to prime brokerage and is the only platform that allows clients to borrow stock and finance from a segregated custody account. State Street’s Prime Services solution can reduce counterparty risk, offer additional transparency and provide more control over assets. Clients can also engage in self-borrowing and self-financing from their own long positions from custody accounts. This approach provides a more efficient and cost-effective way to manage long/short portfolios. To meet client demand for synthetic market access globally, Prime Services are expanding their product offering to include Equity Swaps: a market standard Portfolio swap and a flexible Total Return Swap to suit client requirements. Individual who has previously worked in an Operations/Middle Office role would be an added advantage. Join us to make your mark in the capital markets industry.What you will be responsible forAs Equity Swap Operations Analyst-Senior Associate you willExecute pre‑trade and post‑trade operational activities for Equity SwapsSupport trade booking, allocations, and lifecycle event processing (resets, dividends, fees)Assist with daily swap cashflow processing and settlementsPerform reconciliations (trade, position, cash) and investigate breaksSupport treasury funding checks and cash balance monitoringMaintain static data, client setup, and SSI recordsPerform daily control checks, checklists, and SLA sign‑offsRespond to internal stakeholder queries and escalate issues promptlyAdhere strictly to risk, control, and documentation standardsWhat we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleStrong attention to detail and control mindset.Basic understanding of capital markets or derivatives concepts.Analytical skills to investigate and resolve operations exceptionsRisk mitigation, problem solving, and decision – making skills.Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and time management skillsAbility to work effectively in time-sensitive BAU environmentsAbility to think critically and resolve complex problemsDrive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiencyStay updated on best practices for Equity Swap Operations.What you will bring to the roleFront-to-back knowledge of the Equity Swap Operations processes, markets and instruments.Hands-on experience and working knowledge in Front office exception management, Middle office systems, Settlement / Payment department & understanding Swap lifecycleFamiliarity with systems such as NUVO, TRAIANA, DUCO, etc. will be an added advantage.Education & Preferred QualificationsGraduate and above preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or related disciplineGood knowledge in Back-office payment and trade & cash settlement.Knowledge of Global Markets, cash management and payment systems.Good communication skills both written and oral.4 to 7 years of experience in Financial Services industry with minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations or Middle office role.Additional requirementsKnowledge of Macros, SQL & MS Access Database queries will be an added advantage.Shift Timings: 7pm to 4 am IST (NA Shift )Persona: 4 days’ work from officeLocation: Mumbai / BangaloreAbout State StreetWhat we do.
