Ensures the successful integration of cultural competency into operational programs. Advances work to reduce race and health inequities among the people we serve. Partners with agency providers, practice managers and clients to research, plan, implement, evaluate, and report on our work to reduce health disparities and treatment bias by race across our clinical services. Co-develops and delivers training to enhance the understanding of the impact of racism in health care settings and ways to mitigate disparate outcomes in health care delivery and in health care workplace. This position works closely with the DEI Director of Clinical Operations, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support development, spread and sustainability of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Programs that will reduce health disparities and increase equitable health access for patients.Major Responsibilities:Acts as integrator and coordinator of efforts to help promote diversity and embed a health equity perspective across the organization by performing the following duties.Collaborates internally to seek appropriate grant funding; identifies and analyzes health inequities in collaboration with the data team; conducts assigned research; and conducts evaluations.Collaborates with the internal departments to develop, implement, and maintain organizational strategies to improve quality of care, enhance the client experience and reduce racial and health inequities. Helps to develop patient education materials.Uses community-based participatory research to include patient voices and perspectives deliberately and systematically.Applies a racial equity lens to continuously improve client data collection and data analysis for both clinical decision support and workflow.Utilizes evidence-based practices to inform interventions and strategies to address health inequities.Supports improvement projects through project management and group facilitation, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, developing meeting materials, facilitating discussions, summarizing decisions and next steps, assisting in communications and deliverable development, and implementation planning.Provides staff training to disperse knowledge of health inequities across the organization ensuring integration into clinical functions. Strategically uses health promotion messaging and theories to bring awareness and support to the DE&I goals.Collaborates with multiple functional areas on the implementation of Health Equity Program goals,Manages and monitors adherence of the health equity inventory.Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:None RequiredEducation Required:Master's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Business or related fieldExperience Required:Typically requires 5 years of experience in Health Equity, Social Determinants of Health, Community Health and/or strengthening protective factors within LGBTQ populations.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Demonstrated ability to organize multiple diverse groups and virtual teams in a matrix organization; ability to effectively motivate, inspire, and communicate with individuals and groups.Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and writtenPreferred:Proficiency with MS OfficeCommunity roots in ChicagoExposure to healthcare and other community organizations#LI-HybridThis job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
