Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.We’re Looking For:Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursingRegistered Nurse license issued by the state of practiceMust be able to support 2 of 3 specialties:  Post Partum, Labor & Delivery, NICUBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart AssociationAdditional Certification needed: LDRP RN (ACLS, NRP, EFM, Telemetry Rhythm Analysis/Interpretation POC Glucose; NICU RN (PALS, NRP, POC Glucose)Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of WH RN experience required in specialtyWeekend Requirement (Friday 1900 – Monday 0700):  1 Weekend Shift per 2 schedule periodHoliday Requirement: 1 Holiday per yearSchedule: Self-scheduled. Assignments may be day-to-day or long-term float placements. A minimum of 12 hours per scheduled period is required and may be met through a combination of 4-, 8-, or 12-hour shifts.What You’ll Do:As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include:Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence‑based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and proceduresDemonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teamsLeading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experienceCoordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute‑care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settingsMaintaining the competency required to practice in all acute‑care facilities within the designated zonePerks of Working with the WI Float Pool:Travel‑nursing‑style variety — without the travel: Work across multiple (4-7) Aurora Health facilities through day‑to‑day floating or 6‑week site rotationsFresh, dynamic work environment: Exposure to various departments and patient populations helps prevent routine fatigue and keeps work excitingCareer‑building experience: Demonstrates adaptability, competence, and the ability to manage diverse clinical situationsCompetitive compensation: Includes base pay, float differentials, shift and weekend premiumsBenefits & flexibility: Enjoy flexible self‑scheduling, no on‑call requirements, and only one holidays per yearAbout This Location: Serves multiple Aurora Health acute‑care facilities within the Wisconsin division.
