This coordinator role provides photography and video expertise to promote Rec Well’s programs, services, and facilities to current and potential members and the campus community. They are responsible for interpreting concepts and leading the design and creation of photography, videography, and digital media that inspires Badgers to play hard, get fit, and live well.The Coordinator of Digital Media plays an integral role in telling the stories of Rec Well members through impactful photography and video. Working with other members of the Marketing & Communications team, this position creates a wide variety of content including long-form and short-form video, still photography, and animation for use in campaigns, print materials, social media, and digital promotions. The Coordinator of Digital Media manages the workload of the Digital Media team, including three to five student employees, and provides creative and technical recommendations to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.Key Job Responsibilities:Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and student multimedia teamManage updates and licensing for any multimedia-related hardware and softwareAdministers a digital asset management systemDevelops communication, event, and marketing strategies and materials to align with the overall work unit strategic initiativeDirects operational activities for multiple communication platforms and posts content within a work unit that may include websites, social media, written/illustrative communications, and online toolsTracks and manages timelines and deliverables related to communication projectsContributes to the development of communication, event, and marketing materials to fit into the overall strategy of the work unitConceptualizes, plans, designs, and executes multimedia solutions for a specific work unit that may be used through various platforms in collaboration with stakeholders and other content creation staffDevelops and facilitates trainings for staff and customers regarding technology options and best practicesDepartment:Marketing & CommunicationsCompensation:The minimum salary for the position is $57,000. The expected salary for this position ranges from $61,000 to $70,000. Actual pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, competitively priced health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax-advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the nationally recognized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund. For a summary of benefits, please see: https://www.wisconsin.edu/ohrwd/benefits/download/fasl.pdfRequired Qualifications:At least two years of professional photography and video experience in an agency, business, or educational setting.Advanced design skills and a strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity, originality, and results-driven marketing or advertising projects.Must be able to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace, and have strong organizational skills.Ability to conceptualize and execute creative concepts that communicate ideas clearly and engage audiences effectively.High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.Ability to work independently and cooperatively on complex projects, handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a detail-oriented environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supervising student employees or interns.Additional Details:Typical working hours between 8:00am - 5:00pm.
