We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:* REQUIRES 2 DAYS IN OFFICE IN SACRAMENTO.Business Intelligence/Analytics engineer with SQL, and visualization skills (Power BI).-Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)-SSAS Tabular ModelsThis position is a key independent contributor and member of the System Data & Analytics team in Digital. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle engineering of the department's semantic infrastructure. This role requires the exercise of discretion to determine the appropriate modeling strategy—choosing between Import, DirectQuery, or Direct Lake modes—to balance performance with data freshness. The ideal candidate moves fluidly between managing legacy SSAS partitions and architecting modern Microsoft Fabric semantic models using engineering tools like Tabular Editor/ALM Toolkit. This role operates with minimal oversight, defining the governance and security logic for their domain.Technical professional with advanced DAX and SQL and expert in semantic models (SSAS tabular model) and Reporting (Power BI).Job Description:EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor's in Applied Statistics, Computer Analytics, Computer or related fieldTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:5 years recent relevant experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Advanced knowledge of Power BI and DAXAdvanced Knowledge of SQLAdvanced knowledge of SSAS Tabular ModelsAdvanced knowledge of database programming and statisticsAdvanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and WordFamiliar with SSIS and SSRSEstablish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.Perform a variety of duties and often change from one task to another of a different nature with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.Skilled in developing documentation at a technical and user level.#LI-TH1Job Shift:DaysSchedule:Full TimeShift Hours:8Days of the Week:Monday - FridayWeekend Requirements:As NeededBenefits:YesUnions:NoPosition Status:Non-ExemptWeekly Hours:40Employee Status:RegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $50.16 to $75.24 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
