Job DescriptionIn BARDS (Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences), a distinguished department within our company’s renowned Research and Development division, quantitative scientists, in partnership with other subject matter experts, apply state-of-the art scientific methodologies and tools to enable the discovery, development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and marketing of medical drugs and vaccines for the benefit of patients and global human health.The Senior Principal Scientist leads a team of health economists to develop and implement health economics and modeling strategies that enable the Company to understand and communicate the full economic value of the Company’s oncology products to payers, health technology agencies, policy makers, and other decision-makers in order to optimize market access and patient outcomes.Main Responsibilities:Under the direction of an Executive Director within the Health Economic and Decision Sciences (HEDS) department of the BARDS) organization, the Senior Principal Scientist will:Lead a team in the development and execution of health economic and modeling strategies to support the value of the Company’s oncology portfolioProvide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to a team of 3–4 health economistsOversee the prioritization and development of high-quality global health economic models and tools to support market access, pricing, reimbursement, HTA submissions, and formulary decision-making across U.S. and international marketsCollaborate with key countries and the regional team to adapt global models for local HTA, reimbursement, and formulary submissionsGenerate and communicate early health economic insights to inform development and commercialization strategiesBuild strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure modeling strategies align and support the overall product development and value evidence strategy and implementationDevelop and maintain relationships with external thought leaders in health economics, decision sciences, and health policy to enhance scientific credibility, inform strategy, and position our company as a leader in the field Qualifications: EducationPhD (preferred) in Quantitative Sciences such as Health Economics, Mathematics, Predictive Modeling, Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, Engineering or closely related field with 7 or more years of relevant experience; orMaster’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant work experience Required Experience and SkillsDemonstrated ability to lead and manage teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong strategic thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and interact effectively with a broad group of stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesAbility to translate complex analyses into actionable insightsExperience in developing health economic models for decision-makingStrong expertise in oncology modelingExperience with HTA and reimbursement submissionsBARDS2020#eligibleforERPRequired Skills: Commercialization, Data Management, Decision Models, Healthcare Technology, Health Economics, Market Access, Mathematics, Medical Economics, Mentorship, Prioritization, Product Development, Researching, Stakeholder Relationship Management, Strategic Planning, Strategic Planning Partnerships, Strategic ThinkingPreferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HEREUS and Puerto Rico Residents Only:Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits.
