You will play a critical role in managing programs, analyzing trends, improving processes, partnering with leadership, and ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and meaningful.If you are someone who enjoys balancing people-centered support with data-driven decision-making, we’d love to meet you.What You Will DoAs a key member of the HR team, you will help drive excellence across benefits strategy, operations, and employee support.Benefits Administration & Employee SupportYou will serve as a trusted resource for faculty and staff by:Managing a broad portfolio of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, leave programs, workers' compensation, tuition remission, well-being initiatives, and moreSupporting employees through benefits questions and life events with empathy and exceptional servicePartnering with insurance carriers, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex issuesEnsuring compliance with federal and state regulations and evolving benefits requirementsServing as the primary contact for retirement plan audits and related documentationStrategy & Program DesignYou will contribute to improving and enhancing our programs by:Researching market trends and emerging total rewards practicesPartnering with vendors and consultants to evaluate and enhance benefits offeringsLeading annual Open Enrollment logistics and communicationsCreating educational sessions and delivering presentations for employees and new hire orientationDeveloping materials and reports for HR leadership and committeesAnalytics & Continuous ImprovementYou will turn data into insight by:Building and maintaining benefits reporting, dashboards, and program metricsAnalyzing utilization, cost trends, and plan performanceIdentifying opportunities to improve efficiency, employee experience, and program effectivenessAuditing invoices, claims reporting, and benefits-related dataWhat Makes You SuccessfulYou are curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to helping employees navigate important moments in their lives. You can move comfortably between strategic conversations and operational execution.We are looking for someone who brings:Bachelor's degree required3–5 years of benefits administration or HR experienceStrong knowledge of health and welfare plans including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA programs, and leave administrationWorking knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and Massachusetts leave regulationsExperience supporting leave of absence and workers’ compensation programsUnderstanding of retirement plan administration and defined contribution plansStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into recommendationsExceptional communication and presentation skillsAbility to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively across teamsExperience with Workday HCM preferredAdvanced Microsoft Office skills requiredWhy Brandeis?Brandeis University combines the energy of a world-class research institution with a collaborative and mission-driven culture.
