You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.About the RoleThis role is ideal for Electricians or Electrical Engineers who want to move into a stable, well‑run technical environment where systems are maintained properly, safety matters, and work is structured and planned.You’ll carry out routine and semi‑routine electrical and building services maintenance, working to clear procedures and supporting more experienced engineers with complex tasks. The role is hands‑on but controlled — not constant emergencies or guesswork.What You’ll Be DoingElectrical & Building Systems MaintenanceCarry out routine and semi‑routine maintenance checks on electrical and building systemsComplete basic repairs, servicing, and minor installations following written proceduresMonitor building and plant systems via control panels and screens, responding to standard alertsSupport senior engineers during larger repairs or fault‑finding activitiesOperate plumbing, fire safety, and life‑safety systems under guidanceFollow set procedures for day‑to‑day work, with support provided for new tasksContractor & Site SupportWork alongside specialist contractors during routine maintenance tasksHelp coordinate work on site, including:Start‑of‑job briefingsMonitoring work during the shiftClosing out jobs and checks once work is completedEnsure work is carried out safely and in line with site standardsPermits, Logs & Incident SupportComplete basic permits, logs, and work records using templates and instructionsFollow operating procedures to support site administration and safe workingAssist senior engineers during incidents or technical issues when requiredWork Orders & Local ProjectsComplete routine work requests and basic electrical tasks (e.g. circuit work, equipment installs)Support general site and office equipment maintenance where neededAssist senior staff on larger improvement or upgrade projectsTeamworkingWork as part of a site‑based engineering teamSupport colleagues during maintenance and fault responseFlag parts and materials needed to keep stock levels healthyWhat We’re Looking ForBackground as an Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or Facilities EngineerExperience working in electrical maintenance, building services, facilities, or industrial settingsComfortable following procedures and working in a controlled, safety‑focused environmentWillingness to learn and develop broader building systems knowledgeExperience & QualificationsElectrical qualification or equivalent practical experienceTypically 1–2 years’ experience in a technical or maintenance roleExperience working on live systems and following safety rules is an advantageWhy This Role Appeals to ElectriciansOne site — no van, no travelling between jobsPlanned maintenance rather than constant breakdownsClear rules, clear isolations, proper documentationModern, well‑maintained systemsStrong foundation for progression into senior engineering rolesInterested?If you’ve got solid electrical fundamentals and want a role where you can build experience, work safely, and develop long‑term, this could be a great next step.Apply now and bring your electrical skills into a more structured, professional engineering environment.Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
