The position required a high degree of customer service for executives, guests, and staff as well as experience managing projects, working in a small team environment, and sensitivity with confidential information and secured spaces.This role is located in Port Aransas, TexasResponsibilitiesServe as a security guard presence as needed, conducting foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring checkpoints, and securing buildings, gates, and restricted areas.Coordinate closely and regularly with the Facility Supervisor on daily operations, incident response, and security procedures.Act as the first point of contact, delivering professional customer service to employees, visitors, VIPs, and during special events.Monitor and control access points, including screening visitors, managing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and maintaining access control systems.Respond to emergencies independently or as part of a team, supporting incident management and ensuring proper reporting.Maintain security systems and equipment, including CCTV, surveillance systems, radios, and safety/fire protection equipment inspections for proper operation.Complete required documentation and administrative tasks, including reports, staff scheduling, guard tour logs, and adherence to SOPs and university policies.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma2 years of experience in a security technical supportRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degreeCertificate in Criminal JusticeDriving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
