Job Posting Title:Materials Management Coordinator----Hiring Department:Dell Medical School----Position Open To:All Applicants----Weekly Scheduled Hours:40----FLSA Status:Non-Exempt from FLSA----Earliest Start Date:Immediately----Position Duration:Expected to Continue----Location:AUSTIN, TX----Job Details:PurposeThe Materials Management Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the supply chain logistics of materials within the healthcare system, ensuring timely procurement, storage, and distribution of supplies. This role coordinates with various departments to meet their material needs, maintains inventory accuracy, and optimizes supply chain processes.ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementMonitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and overstock.Procurement CoordinationCoordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.Review and process purchase orders and requisitions.Communicate with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.Distribution and LogisticsParticipate in the distribution of materials to various departments.Ensure efficient and timely delivery of supplies.Coordinate with internal teams to optimize delivery schedules.Data ManagementMaintain accurate records of inventory transactions.Update inventory databases to ensure adequate material supply.Generate reports on inventory status and usage patterns.Compliance and SafetyEnsure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.Implement and enforce safety protocols for material handling.Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDAt least 2 year(s) of experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain, or a related field.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriatePreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldAt least 3 year(s) of experience in materials management, with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting.Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)Salary Range$40,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking Environment/EquipmentStandard office equipmentRepetitive use of a keyboardMay be exposed to such occupational hazards as communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications and disoriented or combative patients, or others.Required MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisorLetter of interestImportant for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
