Leidos is seeking a Senior IBM Maximo Developer with deep experience in IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9 and Field Service Management (FSM) / Maximo Mobile to support our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) electric utility operations.This role will lead architecture, configuration, and optimization of MAS 9 Manage and Mobile solutions that enable safe, reliable, and efficient field execution across substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks. The ideal candidate understands utility grid operations and can design scalable mobile-first solutions that support real-time field data capture, outage response, inspections, and compliance workflows.Location: This position is remoteResponsibilities:MAS 9 Architecture & Platform LeadershipLead solution design and governance for MAS 9 (Manage) in a T&D environmentSupport containerized deployments in OpenShift and cloud environments (AWS preferred)Oversee environment strategy (DEV/TEST/PROD), CI/CD practices, and release managementEnsure security hardening, RBAC configuration, and audit readinessDrive performance tuning and system optimization within MAS 9FSM / Maximo Mobile LeadershipDesign and configure Maximo Mobile / FSM solutions for:Substation and line maintenancePole inspections and vegetation managementSwitching orders and safety taggingStorm response and emergency restorationEnable offline-first mobile configurations with optimized synchronization strategiesConfigure inspection forms, job plans, dynamic checklists, and digital proceduresImprove field usability, device performance, and crew adoptionPartner with field operations and safety teams to refine mobile workflowsAdvanced Maximo DevelopmentDevelop complex automation scripts (Jython/JavaScript)Configure advanced workflows, escalations, and conditional UI logicArchitect scalable asset hierarchies aligned with T&D network modelsImplement meter-based maintenance, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenanceDevelop complex BIRT reports and operational dashboardsEnterprise Integration & Data StrategyArchitect and support integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)Lead integrations between MAS 9 and:Outage Management Systems (OMS)GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI)SCADA systemsERP/Financial systems (SAP, Oracle)Design API and event-driven integration patternsLead asset data migration, cleansing, and governance initiativesUtility & Compliance EnablementSupport T&D business processes including:Capital project tracking and asset commissioningNERC compliance documentation and audit reportingReliability-centered maintenance programsImprove data quality and traceability across asset lifecycle stagesRequired Education and Experience:8+ years of IBM Maximo development experience3+ years supporting electric utility Transmission & Distribution operationsDemonstrated hands-on experience with MAS 9 (installation, configuration, upgrade, or support)Experience deploying MAS 9 on OpenShiftStrong experience designing and deploying Maximo Mobile / FSM solutionsDeep expertise in:Application DesignerAutomation ScriptsMaximo Integration Framework (MIF)Workflows and EscalationsStrong SQL and Java skillsExperience leading complex enterprise integrationsExperience operating in regulated, audit-driven environmentsMobile-first mindset focused on field execution efficiencyStrong architectural judgment in containerized MAS environmentsAbility to translate field operational needs into scalable mobile workflowsStrong stakeholder communication across IT, engineering, and field crewsProven delivery experience in mission-critical utility environmentsPreferred Skills:Experience optimizing mobile performance for large field workforcesFamiliarity with NERC reliability standardsExperience with GIS/OMS/SCADA integrationsIBM Maximo certificationsExperience mentoring development teamsIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
