The Robotic Surgical Technologies Business Unit set the standard for Robotically Assisted Surgery (RAS) by creating innovative surgical products and services that focus on surgical procedures of diseases and conditions.Located at the Medtronic office in Munich, Germany, you will be working in a hybrid model with at least 3 days per week in the office.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Work in a fast-paced environment with a group of software engineers, software test engineers, system test engineers, project management, field service and other related disciplines to deliver our Surgical Robotics softwareDevelop, deploy and operate infrastructure, tools, and services for our large and continuously growing eco-systemLead and/or participate in cross functional development efforts to build and improve the HUGO RAS systemTrain and mentor more junior software engineersRequired Knowledge and Experience:Bachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experienceProficient in C++ and PythonExperience in hands-on development and troubleshooting complex systemsDeep understanding of Linux, QNX or other OSDeep understanding of Robotic systemsExperience in software architecture designExperience leading an engineering teamExperience developing software for robotic systemsExperience with medical devicesExperience in Github copilot or similar AI assisted tool Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.   Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits PackageA commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
