Learn more about the Caterpillar Experience.Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Manufacturing Operations to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kiel facility.What You Will Do:Build, lead and engage a Manufacturing Operations organization to establish a world-class manufacturing facility.Direct all aspects of manufacturing operations for the facility in order to produce cost-effective, timely and high-quality products in a safe and secure working environment.Manage development, implementation and continual improvement of the operating methods, equipment, systems and other operating infrastructure used to realize operating goals and objectives.Direct development of production work schedules to meet internal goals and customer expectations; monitoring process and employee performance of scheduled work activities to achieve established operating goals.Oversee programs and practices for hiring, performance management and developing/training employees that perform and support the facility operations.Maintain and build positive employee relations and an inspiring work environment.What You Have (Key Skills/Experience Required):Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in manufacturing operationsStrong understanding of manufacturing safety practices and requirementsProven expertise in relevant standards, procedures, and policies governing manufacturing environmentsQuality managementBudgetingAnalytical thinkingPerformance managementEmployee relationsProficiency both in English and in German (spoken and written)What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):Engineering or technical degree combined with extensive experience in the fieldPrevious Experience of Manufacturing Large EnginesWhat You Will Get:Varied, responsible, and challenging tasksExcellent earning opportunities according to the Caterpillar compensation system30 days of vacationCompany pension planBicycle leasing / job ticketAdditional Information:We are back!
